Brainstorming?

I guess I'll talk about my favourite exertion games for some inspiration and ideas.
My favourite games would have to be the dancing and other music related ones (if they count). Because music > sport. Yeah, I like my music. It makes everything fun. Examples of some dancing games are DDR, EZ 2 Dancer and that para para one.

Random traits about these games:
  • When playing these games, you're pressured to keep in beat with the music which makes you work harder to keep up your endurance.
  • You'll only be good at them if you've practised a lot. If you haven't, you'll look like a tard.
  • They are "show off" games.
  • You can mod them to play your favourite songs and personalize it. Also, this adds more variety and less repetition
  • (IMO) in comparison to other games, guys are more attractive when skillfully playing these sort of games.
It would be cool if a computer game could monitor ALL of your body movements unlike this. And like, you have your own little character which is an idol that has to dance and stuff. Actually, there probably is a game like that. Too bad we can't use a screen.

tl;dr, dancing and music would be nice.

I'm done. Pardon me if I failed at English.

  1. Yeah, i was thinking of something along those very same lines, however instead i wished to take it to the level by combining ddr with...twister. I would explain further however have found it easier to explain in person rather than on a blog- only because it requires me to use handsigns... but yeah.

  2. well that would require a heep of ordination i was thinking something more of a larger scale playing field not as big as say the pack man in New York but say a shopping center the idea of finding flags or marked tags came to mind sort of get as many as you can and quicker then the other person but that seems to simple and straight forward

  3. Random idea, how about combining boxing and ddr??? It will definitely allow the individual to focus on particular areas on the bag when they punch...spar...whatever they call it. On top of that it will motivate and really call for coordination and agilty- hence be considered an exertion game.

  4. just an update on our idea for them who missed it
rather then using things inside the bag to pick up the pressure of the hit
we should use microphones to pick up the sound of the impact
    loud hard
    low soft
player has to use a measure of force to be counted towards the score if its to soft it doesn't count
and we are leaning towards the idea of putting l.e.d's in the bag for targeting just need a clear or opaque bag and some stuffing
