Boxing..Bag..

As far as the boxing idea goes, I'm pretty sure we're sticking with it so far. Just last Thursday the main thing we discussed was how we would go about presenting the idea to the class. We're thinking along the lines of our own boxing bag, containing LED lights. I think we are still brainstorming how the bag will be pressure sensitive, and be able to recognize which body parts are coming in contact with the bag. I think we had an idea something to do with a microphone?
But if anyone comes up with a better idea, do let everyone know!
=)!

Finally, I can post! Ok, well to begin this post off i would like to apologise again for not being there, but, at the same time, would also like to remind you that i was as sick as a dog. Anyway, what exactly is happening in terms of the game? Are we still going to keep the previous concept of boxing or has that already been disposed of with and replaced with another?

Aha! I have an idea.

IRL Audio Surf. I'm talking about the Ninja Mono character.
Because it's impossible to make an IRL Audio Surf, the game will end up entirely different. But it's a good place to start. Gotta think about if the player will be on a field or on a treadmill? Will they be dodging crap or running into things? How the hell is this gunna work out? Can't be bothered thinking at the moment, so I'll get back to this.

...

Well it has been stated that "simplicity is the key to brilliance"...so yeah. Yet, since this is Floyd we are talking about i suppose such does not apply. Um, question who exactly are we targetting? Dancers? regular folk? animals? athletes? It may not mean much, but it could be of some help as it will help us narrow down ideas, until we have concepts that we are all happy with. Depending on whether we wish to do it this or not, it may also enable us to think of ways that we can take a really dull task- that applies to the audience- and make it into a gaming concept that is one of its kind and fun. Lol, sorta brings to mind the display at the experimenta where that guy took 'hunting' to the next level- man that was genius.

Brainstorming?

I guess I'll talk about my favourite exertion games for some inspiration and ideas.
My favourite games would have to be the dancing and other music related ones (if they count). Because music > sport. Yeah, I like my music. It makes everything fun. Examples of some dancing games are DDR, EZ 2 Dancer and that para para one.

Random traits about these games:
  • When playing these games, you're pressured to keep in beat with the music which makes you work harder to keep up your endurance.
  • You'll only be good at them if you've practised a lot. If you haven't, you'll look like a tard.
  • They are "show off" games.
  • You can mod them to play your favourite songs and personalize it. Also, this adds more variety and less repetition
  • (IMO) in comparison to other games, guys are more attractive when skillfully playing these sort of games.
It would be cool if a computer game could monitor ALL of your body movements unlike this. And like, you have your own little character which is an idol that has to dance and stuff. Actually, there probably is a game like that. Too bad we can't use a screen.

tl;dr, dancing and music would be nice.

I'm done. Pardon me if I failed at English.
